With all of the changes in our current health care system, it’s not possible for any one person to know everything about what is available today. It’s a good idea to not always trust the opinion of one person, even if they do tell you what you wanted to hear. What if they aren’t right? Or they are only partially correct?
Recently, we have had incidents where an individual in a doctors office or pharmacy has given a client wrong information and caused a lot of unnecessary stress for everyone involved. While we know most times they have good intentions, we do want to stress that just because someone works in a doctor’s office or dispenses your medications that does not mean they understand the insurance rules and guidelines. It’s always best to check with your agent before you make any changes to your plan.
So, whether it’s your doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or even your lawyer, CPA or financial advisor…a second opinion could save you a lot of headaches in the future.
