Can you afford not to have health insurance?

Are you one of the 8 million Americans without health insurance? So many people are uninsured today due to fear of cost or lack of understanding. Everyday I hear people say “but I cant afford it”. My first response to that is “well , how much is it?”. My second response is “you really cant afford NOT to have it”. Although the cost of health care has been rising, there are many options to choose from.

Gone are the days when you were given either choice A or B. There are so many plans and options available that one can certainly be tailor fit to your budget. Most people want the major medical, full coverage plans with all the bells and whistles, but when they price them decide to wait. Thats like saying ” I really like that Ferrari, but I cant afford it, so I’ll just walk instead of buying the Chevy in my price range”. Even basic coverage is better than no coverage. And to those of you who go without because of price, Think of the alternative. Today money is a little tight, but your still able to go to work every day and earn a living. We always manage to juggle the bills we have and find a little money for the things we want. What if tomorrow you were to become sick, or injured in an accident? Not only will you have doctor and hospital bills, but your ability to earn a living could become diminished or even ended. You see, health insurance doesn’t protect your health, it protects the health of your finances. Without being able to continue to work, would you be able to pay for medicine and doctors? And what would become of your mortgage and other daily expenses? So again I ask” can you afford not to have health insurance?” I hope I’ve given you some food for thought. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions you may have. There is a plan out there with your name on it, and I can help you find it!
